The Jacksonville Lunatics were a minor league baseball team from Jacksonville, Illinois, active in 1892 and 1907. They competed in the Illinois–Iowa League in 1892, finishing with a 30–57 record. In 1907, they played in the Iowa State League, ending the season at 63–61. The team s unique name reflected Jacksonville s association with the state mental hospital. Despite their brief existence, the Lunatics are a part of Illinois s rich baseball history. This design is part of our retro baseball collection, inspired by the defunct baseball teams of yesteryear.
