The Holland Wooden Shoes were a minor league baseball team from Holland, Michigan, active in 1910 and 1911. They competed in the Class D Western Michigan League and its successor, the Michigan State League, playing home games at the 19th Street Grounds. The team s name honored the city s Dutch heritage, reflecting the traditional wooden footwear associated with the Netherlands. Despite their brief existence, the Wooden Shoes remain a unique part of Michigan s baseball history.
