The Algiers Hotel, a charming mid-century hideaway on the Las Vegas Strip, opened in 1953 as a smaller alternative to the mega-resorts. With its Moroccan-inspired design, it maintained a classic Vegas feel while offering personalized service that drew loyal guests for decades. Unlike many of its flashier neighbors, the Algiers remained largely unchanged, preserving its old-school charm until its closure on August 31, 2004. The property was later demolished, making way for new developments. This design is part of our vintage retro collection, celebrating the vintage defunct golden era Las Vegas venues of yesteryear.
